The first Joint Coordination Committee (JCC) Meeting for the ASEAN-JICA Food Value Chain Development (AJFVC) Project took place on July 9, 2024. The meeting was attended by the Senior Officials Meeting of the ASEAN Ministers of Agriculture and Forestry (SOM-AMAF), Chairs of the Sectoral Bodies (ASWGC, ASPSCP, ASWGFi, and ASWGAC), JICA Indonesia Office, and the Mission of Japan to ASEAN in both online and offline.

The meeting began with special remarks by the Ambassador of Japan to ASEAN, Kiya Masahiko, followed by opening remarks from Dr. Pham Quang Minh, the Assistant Director of the Food, Agriculture, and Forestry Division of ASEC. The agenda included a comprehensive discussion of the progress plan for Output 1 (GAP), Output 2 (SPS), and plan for Output 3 and Output 4. The meeting concluded with final remarks from Okamura Kenji, the Senior Representative of the JICA Indonesia Office.

The JCC meeting aimed to provide an update on the progress of activities to the ASEAN Member States, review and revise the Project Design Matrix and Plan of Operation, and finalize the plan for the remaining cooperation period until January 2027.
